Recently , my friend and I talked about this issue - the usage of incoming and oncoming . It came all of a sudden .
Tonight , I happen to recall that moment again so I went to check the usage of these Incoming and Oncoming . Lol
Well . We re all students . What s the use of internet that you ve got handy planted in your celphone for ? Now , I dont think Planted is suitable for the sentence . Hihi
When to use Incoming ? It can be use to refer to something that is coming in or arriving from a distance . For example , a call . If that s too complicated of an example then , take a bomb . A war s raging at your door and an enemy throws a bomb as you open the door . You can shout , "Incoming !!!!" in order to keep everybody in the house alert . Remember to run for your own safety too .
You can use Oncoming for something that is approaching . Approaching . Repeat , approaching . I m thinking of something to be precise but all I got in mind is an example . For instance , "Watch out for the oncoming car , this is a small road" . Yeah , when the road s small and it s dark , you better honk as you reach corners . A little caution ia better than a great regret .
That s all .
